Affiliate Marketing Strategies – 5 Steps To Become A Super Affiliate
Category: Affiliate Marketing Scams | Jul 07, 2009 |

The real beauty that appeals to most is that fact that in order to start making money right away, you don’t need, a product, website, sales letters, follow up messsages, you don’t process payments, ship orders or do any customer service. So it is a very quick and easy way to be up and running in a very short period of time. All that being said, there’s still some key affiliate marketing strategies that you must know in order to be successful. Below are 5 keys to help increase any affiliates success online.
1) In order to become a successful, or a super affiliate, you must be able to collect the names and email addresses of those that you refer to the affiliates website. It’s not enough just to direct someone to the sales page of the product that you are promoting. On average, it takes someone 5-7 exposures before they purchase that product or service. You need to incorporate a ’squeeze page’ between the link they click and the companies website. A ’squeeze page’ is simply a page that usually has a free offer(report, ebook, e-course, software trial) in exchange for their information. The process should look like this:
A) They click on your link from an article, blog, advertisement.
B) They are directed to you ’squeeze page’ that has a special offer for them.
C) After they fill in their name and email address, they are redirected to the companies sales page.
You can now start to build a relationship with them, which is critical for repeat sales in the future. Remember, people buy from others that they know, and more importantly, that they trust.
If you are missing step B), then you are missing a huge opportunity for future sales.
2) To become a super affiliate you must define, and dominate a niche market. A niche market is simply a smaller, more detailed part of a larger market. For example, ‘tropical fish’ would be a large market, but ‘How to raise Oscars’ or any other specific type of fish would be your niche market. This is a market that may get 1000’s of searches a month, with very little competition.
3) Super affiliates tend to be perceived as experts in their field. Because niche markets are more close knit, and because they will easily pass along information that they deem to be of value, your name can spread like wild fire. So they will pass along your, blogs, articles, reports, ebooks ect, to others with similar interests, making them viral. TIP – Make it easy for your informatin to be passed on, include a ’send to a friend’ link. Make it simple and your on your way.
4) Successful affiliates or super affiliates tend to over deliver on the information they give away. When you give people more then they expect, they will come back for more. Make the information valuable to them, solve some, but not all, their problems or questions. You don’t want to give away everything for free, or they will have no reason to purchase what you have to sell them.
5) Super affiliates build and nurture a relationship once they capture there potential customers information . People buy from others that they know and trust, and therefore, you must show that you are there to help them. A fatal flaw that most newbies make is, they hard sell before the relationship has had a chance to form. You can include soft sells within your communications to them, but people will turn and run the other way if they think that you are just out to get their hard earned money. Build that relationship to ensure long term growth with back end sales.
That’s 5 important keys that, if followed and done right, can build the solid foundation that ANY business needs to be a smashing success and realize long term, sustained growth.

From my experience I would suggest you learn about affiliate marketing & the techniques used by successful affiliate marketers first, before you attempt to make any money. You will save a lot of time & avoid common mistakes made by those new to this business.
Luckily all the information to learn about affiliate marketing is available free. The source listed below has many free ebooks, & master courses on the subject. There are also videos if you prefer learning that way.
The site features a product review of Site Build It which is used by thousands of people to build an online business. They monetize theirs sites with affiliate programs, adsense & other forms of advertising to name a few.
That is what has helped me the most because they have a clear, simple to follow action guide that shows you step by step what to do. You end up with a website that ranks high in the search engines. This is how you will get a steady flow of traffic from the seach engines. And in order to make money with affiliate marketing online, you will need a lot of targeted traffic.
They also teach you how to Presell your traffic before you send them to your affiliate links. This is how successful affiliates have a higher conversion rate. Affiliate marketing is a skill that takes time to learn how to do effectively. But if you are up for it, the information is there for you. Best of Luck…
You could focus your niche on things people really want, not what they need because not many people buy what they need they buy what they desire!
You could go to ebay and check the ebay pulse section and find out what people are searching for and buying the most, and then drill down into that niche so that you are not competing in a general niche where thousands of other people are promoting their stuff.
The Lycos top 50 is also another good source to find out what is being searched for the most.
When you find a hot niche you will need to milk it for all it's worth! which means setting up a website with articles on the niche you have chosen, plus the affiliate products you want to promote on there as well.you could also set up an autoresponder so that you can catch peoples email address so that you can carry on selling to them even when they have left your site.
You will also need to write some unique articles based on highly searched for keywords that have low competion anything under 50,000 competing pages should be fine, submit them to ezine articles and include your link to your website in your authors resource box,try to write at least one article per day.
if you do not want to pay for a website then you can easily set up a free blog with either blogger or wordpress.
remenber to update it daily.
another way to get traffic to your site or blog is to set up a squidoo page on a specific subject in your niche and link it back to your site or blog.
There is a lot more than this to it but if you take it step by step and continue to build around your niche then over time you will start to see the money coming in.

If you want to promote a affilite link online, you need to establish a website first. Here is a guide to properly getting your site going – http://www.richkahmer.com/build-a-website.html
Once you have a quality site with decent traffic you can push a product on there. CJ.com is pretty good if you get a lot of traffic. (they will cancel your account if you don't produce enough traffic)
Firstly, check out for http://seriousppccoaching.com for some more in depth info on this.
No, I don't think it is a scam but there does seem to be a few bad reviews of the site on some of the webmaster forums.
If I was you I would join PPC Coach instead. I joined a few months ago after I read some of the most respected affiliate marketing blogs (Nicky Cakes, Zac Johnson, Johnathon Volk) giving really excellent reviews. I don't like talking about how much I earn but I'm on target to earn more this month and next month then I did all of last year. It really is all due to the info and help that PPC Coach provided me with.
Clickbank is a well respected market place for affiliate marketing other products. It is used by many many internet marketers including the very successful. You can see more details on the site itself. Briefly, after you have opened a free account:
1) You review the market place and find an item that you think that you can sell. The commission rates are shown – they are usually range about 40-55% but can be more or less.
2) Get you link to sell the item. Clickbank explains this for you. Now cloak the link so that it cannot be stolen.
3) Write some description of the item on your web site, a review etc and then insert the link on your site.
4) Promote your site. When someone purchases the item – they are sent through your link to the affiliate owners site who then takes the money and delivers the product.
5) Your share then appears in clickbank – who take out their expenses and send you a periodic check for the difference.
Clickbank handles the payment process.
You can also look at paydotcom.com which is owned by Mike Filisiame who is an extremely well respected and trusted marketer. (butterfly marketing)
You could also look at Clikkads.com which provides adsense type ads using clickbank products.
Well I work with a company that uses affiliate marketing and network marketing. It would be silly to say that affiliate marketing is a scam. Scroll to the bottom of any major website and there will be a little link that says "become an affiliate". Affiliate marketing pays on performance and saves companies millions of dollars in advertising alone. Your job is to be aware of what it takes for an affiliate marketing or network marketing company to be successful. That way when looking at a company you can make a legitimate assessment of whether that company is a good option for you. I say this because the average Joe will ask his poor friend/neighbor/relative for financial advice rather than educating themselves. If you find a good company the potential for creating residual income is amazing. I did my best to put in my two cents, if you still have questions just send me an email.
